ISO 27001:2013

Smurfit Kappa Security Concepts Ltd became accredited to the ISO27001:2005, the Information Security Management System in 2007 and to ISO27001:2013 in 2015. The objective of the standard is to help establish and maintain an effective information management system, using a continual improvement approach. It implements OECD principles, governing security of information and network systems.

Smurfit Kappa Security Concepts Ltd gained accreditation to the ISO9002:1994 quality standard in 1994. We have continually adapted an improved our quality management system and transitioned to the ISO9001:2015 standard in November 2016. We conduct regular customer satisfaction surveys to ensure that our procedures and practices are working to satisfy the changing expectations of our diverse customer base.

We work very closely with NSAI and Smurfit Kappa Group to ensure we achieve best in class for our industry. We work to continually improve our use and management of materials.

Smurfit Kappa Security Concepts Ltd is a member of APACS 55 UK, the UK cheque printer accreditation scheme. The scheme has 80 accredited printers and lays down security standards to protect against counterfeiting and the fraudulent alteration of cheques and provides best practice guidelines to assist designers, printers, business customers and bank staff in this regard.

Intergraf ISO 14298:2021

Smurfit Kappa Security Concepts Ltd was successfully audited as a Security Printer according to the Intergraf CWA 14641:2009 standard in October 2012, transitioned to the Intergraf ISO 14298:2013 standard in October 2016 and to the ISO 14298:2021 standard in September 2022. Intergraf is an internationally recognised group of industry leaders specifically focused on security printing. Smurfit Kappa Security Concepts Ltd is the first Irish company to be accredited to the Intergraf standard.
